Please could someone with the printed version of the crossword tell me the name of today's compiler.

Wow onto the Toughie already. I guess you have finished 25832 and the typo on 26a didn't slow you down :-)

Was going to post about that later, but I think the name of the compiler might be significant for this one.

I completed it at 1.30 this morning, couldn't get the wordplay for 24a so I went to bed. On waking up this morning, I decided that the compiler's name might provide the answer!! Unfortunately, neither version of the puzzle give the name.
