all sites say there were only five beaches stormed on d day,question in the express say's their were six,any ideas

Haven't seen the question myself but there are 5 beaches:Omaha,Utah,Sword,Juno and Gold maybe some connection there.

There were 5 beach landings but also airborne landings which might be called the 6th site of battle.
