I am really stuck on number 10. On a passenger liner, what name is applied to a luxury private cabin and to the ship captain's living quarters?  Anyone who can give me a clue it would be much appreciated. I've been stuck on this one for days!

Well, there was a full page ad in the newspaper the other day for cruises on the QE2 and the best accomodation they could offer was in Staterooms.

The thing is on most cruise ships they call all rooms staterooms.
I still went with it though as could find nothing else.

I have just been speaking to someone who used to work for P & O.  He said that luxury cabins are known as suites and the captain's suite is where el capitano lives.

I have also been on the QM 2 website looking at the deck plans.  All the best accommodation is in suites on 11 and 12 decks. Can't find the captains pad on there but then they are not trying to sell that are they.

I did try calling Cunard but they are obviously very busy and after going through their message service, pressing 4 and then 2 and then 2 again I got a message saying that they couldn't take my call and because my call was valuable to them I should call again. Don't think so somehow.

Incidentally, they did say that any price qouted was only valid for the duration of the phone-call.

Thanks to everyone who supplied me with an answer so late in the day!  I think I'll go with suite although I'm still not convinced.
