I'm thinking of selling home-made produce e.g jams etc. What are the legalities in doing this? Do any laws apply?

All sorts of laws apply to selling home made produce. Such as hygene in the production, labeling of ingredients etc. Try the local library you should be able to find a book covering all the things you need to know if you are going to start doing this.
You might also try your local Trading Standards
I saw a good book at the library .. it was called Cooking for Cash. It covered: Basic Contacts. Finding Help, Getting Started, Getting Known, Marketing, Organising, Presentation and a few more things. Sorry I forgot to look who it was by.
