i need to print out a really important letter today. My printer is telling me it can't do so, because the yellow and pink inks are empty. The black is full though - and as my letter is in black and white, why won't it do it? Aaaaaaaaaarrgghhh!!!!!

Sorry but a lot of printers wont print if one cartridge is empty
go to control panel printer properties
or open your printer's management software

just about every colour printer will have a black and white option somewhere ... you'll have to look

... tick the box .... print
My Epson DX4200 won`t print if there is an empty cartridge.
Just tried properties and no option there.

thanks anyway guys.
I hate printers :(
I had this problem with an HP Deskjet with 1 colour & 1 b&w cartridge, as well as an Epson Stylus DX6000. It`s all a big con.
