Interesting drinks

I introduce to you Vimto (called this because it tastes quite similar to the soft drink).

Ingredients; 1 shot of Port (cheap stuff is fine for this), and 1 bottle WKD blue. Add ice. Mix.

NB - put the Port in first (this is because otherwise, it will float on top of the alco-pop).

Sounds foul? Quite frankly, yes. But one of the best 'easy drinkers' I ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Does anyone have anything I might try, of a similar nature?

Hi Atol, I remember years ago one Sunday evening, fancying a drink,all I had in the house was a bottle of cider and a bottle of port,so thinking on the lines of "port and lemonade" Itried port and cider. I thought it was delicious !! If you try it let me know what you think.

Yeah we drink loads of port and WKD in our local.

Baileys and Blue Curacao is quite interesting as well.

For something totally yummy try Smirnoff Ice (or any lemony drink - we used to have Lemon Hooch!) with a shot of Tia Maria and a shot of blackcurrant. I know it sounds grim, but it is GORGEOUS!!

Also Apple Hooch type alcopop with Midori and Peach Schnapps.

 

Dont ever try baileys and Tomato Juice though. It doesnt work!!

Not condoning binge drinking but when I've tried it I've depth charged the shot of Amaretto.  The similarity is uncanny!
