Many moons ago, when I was working on the building sites, (Around 1981) an awfully poppy song was played a lot on the radio with lyrics something like: 'Torpedo, torpedo - On the beach, swim all day, look out kids it's bombs away' Crappy song but happy memories - anyone know what it is & who performed it??

You are not going mad - I remember it and even bought it (sadly long since sold). It was by 'Havana, Let's go!'. I would say they were a one hit wonder but I don't think it even made it into the charts. Good luck if you are trying to find it.
