You don't need to change your name by deed poll to go back to your maiden name. Her mainden name is still the name she was born with, it's on her birth certificate. Some organisations may ask to see the divorce papers xx

7.99 by email.

says its accepted by uk passport authority

i imagine you may need one to change your passport.

Legend, she doen't need to change her name by deed poll. Her maiden name is still her given name.

Passport and drivers licence she'd need to pay for as standard though.
I never said she did lakitu

but puddi asked the cost

at 7.99 if id gone to the bother of a divorce id paypal 7.99 and get my name changed

like i said i dunno if it needs chNGED FOR PASSPORT BUT I ASSUMED IF YOURE USING A DIFFERENT NAME THEN YOUD NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PASSPORT.

THATS ALL
Hi Puddicat. I went back to using my maiden name before I was divorced. I noticed on the cheque I was given from my son's dad, that he had added his girlfriends name onto his account, but she was using my married name, before I had divorced him! I went to the bank and asked if this was correct. I was told that I could be known by any name I wanted to. I changed my bank details there and then, notified my work etc. This happened in Scotland. I think deed poll is England and Wales, but I'm not entirely sure. I was born in Scotland and lived there when I changed the name I used. I don't know if that makes a difference.
OK doke, Leg.

She'll definately be charged for changing her passport, because the government wouldn't let any chance of a quick buck to be passed over.

Regarding the drivers licence, what to do is tell her to tell the DVLA she's lost her licence, they supply you a new one free of charge (certinaly the last time I did it, maybe it's changed now) and she can change it when applying for the replacement.
17.50 for a relacement drivers licence

dunno what a change of name costs

but my mate lost his 2 months ago and that was the charge for doing it online
oops replacement for a lost licence is 17.50

i think a change of name or address is free tho

will need to google
CHANGE OF NAME OR ADDRESS FREE, SO THEY CAN KEEP TRACK OF YOU , I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE A PROVISIONALLICENCE COSTS 50 QUID !!!!

If you have any children puddicat, and they are registered with your husband's name, to avoid any confusion you could make your name double barrelled, which is what my legal name now is, I am not hawkes, i am my maiden name first and then hawkes, that is on my bank account, electoral roll etc, everything actually. This is also so that in the future anyone researching out family history will find me as hawkes and as my maiden name, i have been using the two names since 1991 actually, even before i divorced, on the elctoral roll and census my husband was hawkes and i was my two names.
