Do Catolics believe Jesus was born on the 24th or 25th December?

I have a Catholic bible and have recently been baptised and want to know what the bible states about what day Jesus was born.

there's no special reason to suppose he never lived - what would be the point of all these followers just making up the existence of person they followed? It seems much more plausible that there was indeed a prophet called Jesus. Whether you accept his teachings or believe in the story of his birth and death is another matter.
The mention of lambs would suggest spring time for the birth, although no date is officially given. So the christians nicked the winter solstice celebration from the pagans to have instead "no actually you're not celebrating your ancient phases of the seasons but our brand new birthday of our saviour celebration!"
I was thinking why didn't they nick a spring time celebration like imbulc, but they've decided to go with easter for that. Nicer poetic licence to it maybe.
