Can I change my initial laptop settings??

I have an acer laptop, and have no complaints, except for the person who set it up >ahem< ...me... I have registered the keyboard as American, not English, don't ask why. Can I change it? Only the symbols are in different places and I have to press 4 buttons simultaneously for a �. Thanks in advance.

Go to Start > Control Panel. Depending on the view you have, you either want Regional and Language Options or Date, Time, Language and Regional Options (in which case, THEN choose Regional and Language Options).

In the resulting box, make sure every option in every tab is selected as English (United Kingdom). That should do it for you.
