Payment of Quizzes
13 Answers
I notice a quiz is no longer taking small amount cheques and asks for coins, with bank charges rising it probably wont be long before others do this too but can anyone come up with a better way of posting coins. Ive had 2 entries this week where the envelope has been slit open and coins removed yet its obvious they were well cellotaped and in cardboard as that had been left. Its definately not the postman so they are obviously being taking somewhere in the sorting process.

Hi. I would just like to point you in the direction of my listing as I presume it's mine you are talking about.

I too would like a better idea but I'm thinking that unfortunately the time is coming for no postal quizzes at all just a pick up from shops. Sad, but sign of the times I'm afraid.

I always put a 1 coin in a small brown money envelope then fold my SAE and put the brown envelope between the folded SAE, as far as i know my money has always arrived safely.
For the quiz setters who do quizzes regularly, is a possibility that say 5 quizzes can be payed for at once, just an idea but it would reduce any bank charges

presumably you are all so keen to back your postal service.Having received mail at 4.30pm recently, anything that avoids sending anything through the post the better, but then I suppose if you,ve been a recent winner, there,s nothing better than the news dropping through your letterbox at a sensible time!
I should just say that a 1 coin is actually too thick to go through the slot for a first class stamp - it really needs a large letter stamp
I like the idea of paying for several at a time
More and more have a follow on but suppose thats extra work for the setters
Paypal would cos the person receiving it extra money but if they added it on it wouldnt cost much more than the stamp you would use to send for it
Children of fiji let you pay on line if you pay extra
