Is this a daft question or not. Can anyone tell me if clementines can make you put on weight. 'since I've been eating them I have put on about 4 lbs.

Citrus fruit are good for you, but they contain quite alot of fructose, which is basically a sugar. So if you are eating them to excess, and not burning off the calories, then yes, you could put on weight. Good news is at least they dont have much fat in them to burn off as well!
Think the average has about 25 calories but guess anything eaten to excess will add weight.

Like Kira says they do contain alot of hidden sugar

How many pounds of clementines have you eaten? If it's under 4lb then it's probably something else.
If you ate 4lb of clementines I doubt if you would have put 4lbs weight on...

Are you exercising? That can put on weight
I don't think not exercising causes you to put weight on. I would say that not exercising in and of itself would cause weight loss, with muscle degenerating into fat etc. (so long as you go poopoo).
If you were exercising however that can make you put on weight if you have suddenly started.

Anyway what makes you think it is the clementines?is that the only change in your diet and lifestyle?
