Uefa cup placings
I always thought the top 6 ensured you with a uefa cup place , but i've noticed on league tables on tv and in the papers that they draw a line under the top 4 for champion league places then another under the fifth placed team , does this indicate only the team in 5th place gets into the uefa cup ?

However, if those winners finish in the top 4 they get a champions league place, and the spare UEFA place goes to teams further down the league. Man Utd auto magically quafiy for the Champions league as winners, so I think there will be 5 English teams qualifying for the champions league this year.
Man City qualified this seaon even though the fair play league, which meant that Tottenham, who finished 11th in the league got a european place.

Man utd will not qualify twice as you say, they can only qualify once.if they finnish in the top 4 they qualify for champions league, even if they win the carling or FA cup.the runners up in the cups do not qualify if a team who has finnished in the top 4 win any cup, spurs qualified because they won the carling cup.
so lets say if Man utd win the carling cup and chelsea win the fa cup, then 6th and 7th place in the league will go in the uefa cup.understand,i dont.
