Is there a way to connect an old Toshiba laptop to the internet via a BT wireles hub .I connnected the blue lead from the hub to to laptops usb port .What should happen from there .Thhe laptop is running windows 98.Thanks

You should not connect a Windows 98 computer to the internet. This operating system is no longer maintained by Microsoft and is likely to have several unpatched vulnerabilities.
you'll have problems connecting 98 via usb ... but there is no reason not to use it as a browser ... just don't bank with it.

you need to use ethernet via pcmcia though - 98 is more comfortable with wires
