I recently downloaded an AVI movie from limewire, it wont play on my media player, how can i convert it from AVI to something else so it will play? i have windows vista. i need easy instructions to follow.

firstly what media player are you using?
i assume windows mp.
does the file play as an audio clip or simply not play?

as a start download 'divx'. it is a free program and comes with additional media codecs that should allow your file to play.

Download VLC Player from the link below, it plays pretty much everything.
