Working for Jobcentre/Benefits Advisor??
1 Answers
Hi, I applied for a job as a benefits advisor but wasn't successful, now a similar position has come up and as its really something I'd like to do I wondered if anybody here does a similar job and can give me advice? The application form is multichoice, there are obviously some answers which you would not want to choose, however some answers you can see make you come across as being flexible and able to work on your own iniative, others make you appear unflexible, straight down the line and work exactly to the rules without ever bending them.....Which is the best way to come across? I am a flexible person and will try to solve things myself, but I have common sense and dont have problems escalating to management if need be.
Sorry I've rambled I just really want to get it right as I'd love to do this and am currently jobless at the moment....Thank you for any advice given to this question...

personally, common sense would always win the day for me. calm in any situation, capable.. and it's okay to question the rules but know that sometimes you have to follow them anyway.
best of luck :o)
