ooo a loooooad of wilted spinach and nutmeg would be lovely with fishcakes, or just a side sald with rocket, maybe a bit of pickled beetroot *drool* or a yummy sweet potato mash...?

Thank you for reminding me that I bought some short-dated smoked cod fishcakes in Asda the other day, and put them in my freezer. I was wondering what to have for my tea tonight! ;-)

I'll probably have mine with sweetcorn and peas.

I had salmon fishcakes last night with rocket leaves, coleslaw, beetroot and a few boiled potatoes. Yum. Oh and balsamic dressing over the rocket leaves.

"If the fish cakes are salmon do haricorts vertes and parmesan creamed noodles. If the fish cakes are whitefish serve rice pilaf and pickled beets.. Serve with a good pinot grigio for the former, a light chardonnay for the latter."
