50's and 60's music

Hey, trying to put together a comilation cd and i need to know some of the great songs from the 50's and 60's, like "rock around the clock" and so fourth. Any suggestions would be great. thanks

You might as well just buy a pre-made compilation, you can probably pick up a decent one at budget price.

jenstar is probably right, look for compilations. My favourite music of the 50's is probably Eddie Cochran, C'mon Everybody, Summertime Blues andSomthin' Else. 60's music is a little harder, different styles etc, though of course you can't go wrong with the Beatles, and another of my favourites, Do You Love Me by the Contours.
