something reflective for the car (triangle sign) and importantly for yourself so that if you're out of the car, you'll be seen.

extra medication if your on it, just in case you're stranded.

Important phone numbers e.g. AA/RAC, service numbers, insurance phone number if they provide service to take you/car home.

people have already mentioned things like

mobile phone
blankets
flask of hot drink
something to eat
spade/chains
change for a phone
spare clothes
gloves, hat, scarf
sweets

Er, whereabouts in Siberia are you going,?

sounds like ice road Truckers.

logic i've just been out to the car and it was under 4inches of snow and the road is like sheet ice, so yes, it is, especially the way i drive on ice, which is with my eyes closed if i slide. i am better off at home.

Ask that nice Mr. Clarkson
Don't forget to take a Garth Brooks tape/cd so that if you get stranded and in danger of freezing to death you can listen to him and die with a smile on your face.
