As above do i need to? or mention them something they need to be aware off?

i wouldnt say its an illness i have a long term condition -which shouldn't effect my work at all, unless i need an operation, or hospital check ups. But i really dont like telling them about what i have etc.

Also, if applying for jobs or get called in for an interview, will i need to tell them- if they ask? i am also dyslexic ... if i tell them all these things would it put them off employing me?? is it best to keep it to myself?

when you sign your contract of employment whitebear,in the smallprint it will say that if you provided any false or misleading information about yourself AND IT COMES TO LIGHT IN THE FUTURE then they COULD TERMINATE YOUR CONTRACT,its always best to tell the truth on any job applications, after all you never know what might happen whilst you are at work and if any future employers are not aware of any medical issues you might have, if you are taken ill at work how will they know what to do in your best interests?
depends on what ou are referring to as a condition. Most application forms ask if you have ever received hospital treatment and what for. Equally they ask if you have mental health related issues. Therefore if you dont declare it your application form could be consider void , It is always best to be honest in these circumstances. Good luck
WB - tell them hun. I think you should mention the major condition, and add a footnote that you'd be happy to discuss it at an interview, or provide further information.
Dyslexia doesn't always mean that you wouldn't be offered a job either. I know 2 people who have it, and both have degrees - for which they were allowed more time to submit their work. They both have good jonbs, btw. xxx
While I agree with Stokemaveric that honesty is the best policy, simply 'keeping quiet' about something you're not actually asked about isn't dishonest, and it can't give grounds for dismissal at a later date.

Read the wording on each application form carefully and consider what the questions oblige you to divulge and what you can keep to yourself. If there's a specific list of medical conditions (e.g. diabetes, hypoglycaemia, etc) and yours is mentioned, you should declare it. Otherwise, if you genuinely see no reason why the condition should affect your work in the foreseeable future, don't bother mentioning it.

Again, with your dyslexia, only mention it if there's a specific question or if you can foresee a problem with your ability to do the work. (Incidentally, even allowing for the possibility that you've run your post through a spell checker, your dyslexia must be quite mild because your post makes far more sense than many of them of those which appear here on AB! Unless you're applying for a job as a proof-reader, I can see no reason why your dyslexia should affect your employment).

Thanks for replying guys :-)

i am not contracted to my employer, i am employed via an Agency, I dont really like talking about my conditions because not many people have ever heard of it, its very common but no one has heard of it. i even hide it from my friends etc. because it really upsets me when i talk about it.

if i put it on the application etc then wouldnt it put them off?? I am fit to work and i know whether or not if i am, if im having an operation i would pre warn them, like i did to my present place, i said 'i'm having an operation, i may be out for 2-3 months and can come back as a slow recovery as PT. Its up to you if you want to replace me or not.' They were fine about it and i still have my job.

Chris when you mention about the Dyslexic thing... do you know how long it took me to post that? lol
i went for a job interview once, and did some test, i failed on one of them and the interviewer asked me how come i have a degree and fail such Test?
so i told him im dyslexic,
then he asked me why i didnt tell him about it at the beginning? After the interview, i heard nothing since.
