Seem to have a problem sending pictures I've put on my computer from a digital camera. using Outlook Express. If I send the pic as an attachment to myself, it opens perfectly however on both occasions I've sent to other people they are unable to open ithe attachment. Have also tried copy and paste, same thing. When I check in my sent items it tells me OE hasdecided not sentd this as it maybe harmful. This doesn't happen with scanned pictures or text. Any help gratefully received. Thanks

Have you saved them, before sending, such as a JPEG; BMP, TIFF or GIF?
I sometimes forget and send mine in a COREL Photopaint format and if the recipient doesn't have Photopaint they can't see it.
Scanned items tend to default to a bitmap, so can usually be read.

many thanks chap/chapesses -the pics are saved in jpeg so can't understand why OE takes it upon itself to decide this may be harmful. Have also tried savinging the image on desktop and get the same result. Am I particularly stupid or may I balme OE to some extent. I have no probs with attachments etc with anything other than downloaded digital images. Strange thing - managed to post some previous images from same camera on facebook - no worries. I openly admit I'm not too computer literate so treat me like an idiot.
try going to my pictures, highlight pictures you want to send (click on picture for more to highlight hold down Ctrl whilst clicking photos)then down lefthand side click on email this file in case of more than one photo it will read email selected items . Usually works this way rather than send by attachment. I will open up your default email.
