Leaving filler key in Worcester 26cDi boiler

Hi,
does anyone know if leaving the Filler key in a Worcester 26CDi boiler affects the boilers performance?
mine has snapped off and is stuck in the boiler and i'm just wondering if this will cause a problem?

As long as the broken section is secure and fixed in the fill section, it will not necesarily cause any problems. I have previously removed broken fill keys with snipe nosed pliers - replacements are relatively cheap from parts Center or online parts suppliers.

If the broken section is loose, the next time you fill from the mains it may pop out and leak.

At least i can sleep tonight without worrying about the boiler exploding or waking to a flooded house.
I'll get me dad up to try and remove the stuck section, he's not as ham fisted as me.
