Evening , freezing here , hope you're all in the warm . I've just put the washing machine on with my sons trousers in . He came rushing into the kitchen asking if his trousers were in the machine yet because his wallet is in one of the pockets !!! The machine was still on its fill cycle so I turned it off and fortunately the door opened and he retrieved his wallet unscathed . Have you ever realised something has gone through the wash by mistake ? xxxxx

Usually only after trying to iron them, and it is usually a cigarette lighter in my son's jeans

oh Bigmamma, I have done that, and didnt find it until the wash had finished. everything was wet and we had to dry the notes out and he had to apply for new bank cards cos some of the numbers had come off.

it was a nightmare, I check and double check now.

I know how u must have felt.

My son never checks his pockets ... sometimes i check before i put them in the washer
i find a bulky back pocket when i come to iron his trousers
all told i bet ive got about two hundred pounds out of his pockets in total and i always give it back to him ..lol

my work badge, keys and work access card.
a bright red sock in a white wash.
my monthly bus pass.

all of which were totally ruined by the end of the cycle.

I washed Mr R's trousers a couple of days ago and he had completely forgotten his cheque book was there. It came out as a completey sodden wad. Oh well, its been one of those weeks

I've done lighters, cigarettes, and my mobile phone.

I think the worst thing was some lip salve. Made my clothes really greasy and they were never the same again.

Hee , I'm glad it got rescued before getting soaked as there was all the cards and driving card , word access card and ID card as well as notes and other bits of paper for work . Euwww with the lip save Barmaid . Was the mobile phone ruined ?
