re enamelling cast iron baths
Does anyone know a reputable company that can uplift strip downto bare cast and re-enamel an old cast iron plunger type bath? (in Scotland if possible)

This meant that enamelling companies would have had to install horrendously expensive filtering systems. Instead, they just closed down. This happened across Europe. (Note how Le Creuzet and Meil� are almost alone in continuing to produce enamelled goods).
So, if you wanted a bath re-enamelled, they were being shipped to Russia!
Since that time, there's only one company in the UK that reintroduced this service, but they're based in Preston.
