Film onto dvd

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a film to come out on dvd after being at the cinemas.

I think approx. 5 months.

it varies....usually 6 months(ish) but near xmas they rush them out for increased sales

It depends on who the film distributor is and whether it did well at the box office or not.  Often if it doesn't do well then they'll release it quick whilst advertising is still current therefore taking advantage of cinema and DVD advertising.

It also depends what country you're in!!  I live in Germany and it can be on DVD as low as 2 months from being on the cinema!
