aggrievance...
You can have aggrieved or grievance but I'm not sure sure there is such a word as aggrievance.
Aggrievance \Ag*griev"ance\, n. [OF. agrevance, fr. agrever. See
Aggrieve.]
Oppression; hardship; injury; grievance. [Archaic]
[1913 Webster]
It's a grievance for sure; and someone; and you; and you're.
I prefer to rely on the Collins English Dictionary and Oxford English Dictionary myself - neither of which recognises aggrievance as a word ...
Whilst 'aggrieved' is still in common usage and found in both the Collins' and Oxford dictionaries, 'aggrievance' is archaic and not used at all.
I abhor bad spelling. It really annoys me (though I appreciate for different reasons, some people have difficulty with it). But, whenever I "go off on one" about spelling mistakes I get shot down in flames..... so thank you Ethel ;-)
Did you get on the show?? x
I would've thought that the "spelling chequer" on their "pea sea" should have shown them the correct way ?
salla the thing with spelling, is that if you do not use it a lot you lose the ability to do so,
I am not good with English, and will be the first to admit it,
But if you look at it from the point of view that I left school fifty four years ago, and have been a manual worker most of my life and hardly ever picked a pen or pencil up, then you might understand why some of us make spelling mistakes etc, my elder brother on the other hand was an office worker, come typist , and eventually a book keeper, and was very good with english, but he was crap with a spanner, if you see what I am trying to say.
yes of course I do logic - like I did say, I can understand why not everyone has the spelling capacity of a 1950's English teacher.

It's just one of my personal bugbears - I'm not condemning those who can't spell or don't give a monkey's whether they spell correctly or not.
... I may have got on ok with English - but I'm the first to admit I was absolutely cr@p at maths. (I'm good with hammer & nails though - each to their own!)
er, I'm a bit concerned now, about what you do with said hammer and nails.
I'm always putting pictures up. You mentioned spanner - it reminded me of hammers...?! I used to spend hours in my dad's shed banging nails into bits of wood & using that heavy machine with a screw to hold things tight - what was it called - a vice or something? The one vice that didn't do me any harm!
