I'm looking for some IT advice, wonder if anyone can assist? Having a list of casual workers on an Excel spreadsheet, is there any way that if certain people are unable to work on certain dates, for example holidays and so on, would it be possible to manually input the relevent dates and have the Excel spreadsheet automatically flash up the fact that that person is temporarily unavailable to work by changing the colour of a cell by his or her name, for example?

Cont'd......... when the applicable date or dates occure by using the computers internal calender?
yes its called conditional formatting. put in a cell the dates of holidays and then click on the workers cell when they work and conditional format it to turn red when todays date is equal to the cells with the holiday dates shown. i havent got excel in front of me atm but i will do in an hour. its easier than you thing :)
if u can explain what the existing list is in greater detail i can tell u step by step when i get to work
