Your question should be. Eventually every monkey gets its banana.

'It's' should be read as 'it is'. So where you see 'it's', ask yourself if 'it is' would fit in the sentence. If not then it must be 'its'.

It was a typo(it / it's) - Eventually every monkey get's his banana was said at my reception sarcastically - I don't want a grammar lesson i wanted to know what the meaning of the saying is .

Thank You :-p
the grammar police are about !!!
there is no such word as 'get's'.
Basically it means every man gets his wife in the end. Think of it as like in the jungle a monkey watches the other monkeys having bananas except him and he feels left out as he doesn't have one. But then he sees a banana and goes and gets it so he eventually ends up with a banana like the other monkies, a.k.a, a man sees other men with wives and he hasn't got one so he feels left out because he doesn't have a wife. Then he sees a woman and gets married to her so eventually he has a wife - If you get my meaning.

I can't really explain it well but I've tried to explain it as best I could. Sorry if I end up confusing you more.
