Did anyone watch the "new" Minder with Shane Ritchie as Archie Daley {Arthurs nephew} What did you think of it! I stuck with it found it lightweight compared to the original! Hard to emulate George Cole and Dennis Waterman!

It's a 'catch-all' idea.

Anyone over thirty-five will remember the original - still running on daytime TV - and tune in to see how it works.

Anyone under thirty-five will see a brand new drama series with the guy from 'Eastenders'.

As a member of the former catagory, I have decided to avoid it - it just doesn't sound like a good idea. Some programmes are of their time, and should be left alone.

I thought it was 'OK' but the writing wasn't a patch on the original. 'Younger' people might like it, not knowing the original (must look it out on daytime channels).

Pity it was almost the same story as this week's Hustle! (Wonder which one was recorded first?).
