Am I the only person who has never tried hummus or coucous? It just doesn't sound nice! What have you never bothered to try that lots of people love to eat? Or are you like my neighbour who's always saying 'Oh I don't like that' when she's never even tasted it?
I really should be more adventurous & try something different every week!

Serve with pork loin chops, grilled chicken - or cold as a salad with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Tongue, mackerel, herring, skate, mussels, oysters, squid rings, crab, lobster, most offal except liver with onions. I loathe peas. Goose liver pate is evil - poor little things. Sorry Robby, I've wandered off the topic.
I love humous, I make it for my lunch in a wholemeal pitta with chopped yellow and red peppers.
Cous Cous I have never cooked, but I buy the ready prepared ones from M&S sometimes. As far as I can make out it's what you put with the cous cous that makes the meal tasty as I think it's quite bland on it's own.
What wouldn't I try? The thought of eating something still alive (oyster) really puts me off. For a long time when I was little I couldn't eat 'live' bacteria yoghurts.
I try pretty much everything else though, and there aren't many things that I don't like, in fact the only one that comes to mind is olives.
Thanks again.
Well there seems to be an agreement that oysters are a big no - if you believed the tv you'd think that everyone was eating them!
Chillum I'm just know that when I see the tongue on the local deli counter I'm going to think of your reply & laugh - it's ok they know I'm a funny woman.
Cetti you're right about the goose livers - I wouldn't touch it, but as for a little liver in onion gravy, lovely! One of my sons would never touch peas so I always used to hide one in his dinner & at the end of the meal there'd be a clean plate with the one pea next to his knife & fork!!
I must sound like a weirdo but I like uncooked tripe with salt & vinegar and I love oysters. I will try anything edible once but top of my "never again or I'll barf" list is sea urchins (tastes like mucous mixed with Sloanes linament) and fruitbat stew (a dish of black gunge containing a whole bat).
When I was young I went on a camping trip with my auntie & uncle who were slightly barking. They didn't take any food with them as they decided it would be a challenge to live off the land. The nettle soup was ok but the meal that was a nightmare was seagull. Think fishy tasting chicken and you'll get the idea.
It's a good job my family has someone normal like me.
