Saving me time

Since buying goods via internet I get emails from all over - mostly not to do with what I ordered. When I try to unsubscribe, and use the web address, it does not reach there. Is there any way I can stop these from coming in because as a professional I cannot afford the time or hassle of constantly deleting everything I do not want?
