just another question i need help with!!

OKK im going up to visit my father next weekend...i had met some guys up where he lives.. im only visiting him for 3 days, but i also want to see my friends...what could i say to him so that he doesnt get upset when i want to spend time with my friends instead of my father!! ps. he doesnt know about my friends yet.. help please...and many thanks...ALSOO i want to say that ive missed AB..i havent visited for a while..but its good to be back!!! :)..missed you guys!

Can't you split time between the two? Give your father a day, your friends a day then use the other one as you see fit. It's all about compromise.

For what it's worth... as a father, I wouldn't begrudge my child over time spent with their friends in such a situation...Except... staying out even a little late at night while you are visiting.  That time should be with your father. In addition to adding resentment he would be worried about you, since he probably doesn't know them.  Talk to him, he'll be more understanding than you think...
