British Gas prices are 22.9pKW for the first 108 and then 12.8 thereafter Eon is 22.15 for the first 900 and 10.3 thereafter. Does this make any sense to any one? I don't know who to go with. Please help
It would depend on how much electricity you use I assume that the first (higher) unit rate charge is applicable each quarter (not per year or a once in a life-time fee). Therefore British Gas are likely to be the cheaper, unless your annual electricity bill is over 2,000.
Check with each supplier that you have to pay the higher rate for the first (however many) units, each quarter if this is so, then go with British Gas.
Just as an example (if the higher units charge applies each quarter), say you use 900 units/quarter (not an unreasonable amount).
With Eon that will cost 900 x 21.15p = 199.35.
With British Gas the first 108 units will cost 108 x 22.9p = 24.73, + 792 units at 12.8p = 101.38, giving a total of 126.11 which is 73.24 cheaper than Eon (for 900 units a quarter).
