Can anyone tell me why my skin around each eye is yellow in colour?

I'm not an expert Motor, but perhaps yellow around the eyes could mean that you maybe have an infection in the liver?  I hope you receive an answer that can explain in more detail for you.  In any case, maybe a visit to your GP would put your mind at rest.
Thick yellow patches around the eyes are called xanthomas and can also occur elsewhere on the skin. They are cholesterol deposits and can often be seen in some patients with inherited or familial cholesterol. I am not saying that is what you're particular condition indicates, but I would pop of to your GP to have yourself checked out, failing that get you blood cholesterol measured at your pharmacist.
