piece of neighbours mortar/cement falls on and damages my car. I get an estimate for �500 they not happy with and say that their house insurers say it is An Act of God and I have to claim on my car insurance. Can anyone clarify this as it doesn t sound quite as i understood it. Thanks

Even if your neighbour is not covered I think he is lstill liable. Generally insurers can deny responsibility if the insured knew about the fault and did notr epair it. You could claim from your insurers and let them argue the toss.
