The following rules are connected to businesses employing young children (if they are paid or not), where work is carried out for profit. This does not apply to young children that baby-sit or help charities.
Minimum Wage
Currently, the law states that there is no minimum wage for working teenagers (until the age of 18). - SO WATCH OUT-YOU COULD GET RIPPED OFF!! Please PLEASE don't just take a job that pays 3 an hour. You will lose entire weekends just to buy mobile credit or shoes or whatever it is.
Also, much as it's not my place to judge, if you split your time between school&mates, you'll hopefully end up with some good grades at GCSE&this will help you get a decent job next year! :-) A job at this early stage could really damage your future plans.
