MIniture Pinscher breathing

My mini Pin is 1 year old and sometimes when he gets too excited or goes out for a walk breaths funny and makes noises like short of breath and he coughs .I have mentioned to the Vet but she says that without sedating him and having a x ray it's a bit difficult ,he might need a camera in his gullet . Is it common for these dogs to have dificulty in breathing ?

Does he snort and snuffle, for a short while then go back to normal? If so it sounds like what we call 'reverse sneezing'
which is quite common in small dogs and nothing to worry about. I will try to find a link about this for you.

Did you think this was what your dog was doing? Mine often do it and it doesn't seem to do them any harm.

Yes, He does snort but as soon as I rub his chest he stops so I am not worried anymore .My dog is very lively and he jumps a lot . Do you have a Mini Pins ?

I was thinking of taking himt o have some ttaining classes, he is clever so I could try to teach him tricks but they are very hard to train so I read online . He jumps and bounces really high .
