What is happening?
9 Answers
I am due to marry the love of my life soon and up until last wek things couldn't have been better.
Last week I got a b*ll*cking from my boss because I was unable to get in to work. To be honest I lost it, for various reasons. I cried and sobbed and got very angry. When my partner tried to comfort me I told him to go away.
I turned in to the person I used to be before meeting him, a person I didn't like much, too independant and angry. When I met him I softened and became a happy, loving, affectionate person.
So why since last week do I feel myself pushing him away and get niggled at little things that he may do, that would never have bothered me before. I don't like it and I don't know how to tell him how I am feeling because I don't know why I feel like it.
He is happy and tells me that he loves me and doesn't see anything is wrong.
What is happening and how can I get back to the nice person he makes me?

I remember feeling exactly the same two weeks before my own wedding and I just felt I really didn't love him after all. However, the wedding went ahead and we have been happily married almost 44 years.
I'm sure it will help you to know that others have these feelings when under stress, and if you can take stock of your situation, I'm sure things will go back to what you want. Good luck.

Thank you Filibuster, it does help. I felt quite alone and almost suggested that I wasn't sure how I felt. I am glad that I didn't! I just couldn't work out how I felt changed so quickly to a time that I can almost pinpont and I know you can't fall out of love with someone that quickly, when only that morning we walked the dog together in the snow and threw snowballs at each other.
Wow, all you did was to tell him to go away, at time you were having a bad time. Compared to you, I'm a Haridan and tell my fiance to go away and more on a regular basis.
We are all human and have our ups and downs. If you are suffereing from guilt, maybe make it up to him on Saturday. You sound like a nice person to me and I wish love had the ability to make me a softer person.

hi
my answer probabilly isnt going to help but anyway...
one question for you and answer the first thing that comes into your head??
is he the one?
i ask this because my sister married her boyfriend of 8 years, they had been together for what seemed a lifetime, haad a nice house both in decent jobs, then a few weeks before the wedding i asked her if he was the one and she said
i dont know, well i guess so yeah
from that moment i knew it wouldnt last and it lasted a mear 18 months,
yes you get nervious before a wedding its a big commitment, but just take a bit of time for yourself and make sure he is the one.
hope all goes well
ps: my sister is now divorced, redundunt and living back at my mum and dads and she is 32, in debt because of the breakup, so really think about what you want.

Somehow I knew he was the one before we started going out properly. He is lovely and all those things that I would never have looked for, kind caring, affectionate, thoughful, shy. I used to only go for the arrogant type who loved themselves more than me.
It was a fair question to ask though and sometimes they just need asking.
Thank you.
