Depends on what the kidney stone is made of. Most are not dissolveable and you're better to have them treated in an appropriate way to their size & position. if you are make urate stones then you can dissolve them using compounds that make the uring more alkali, but is is best done with your doctor (too alkaline urine will make different types of stones!) The key thing is when the stone is gone, to have the biochemistry of the stone & your urine checked out (so catch any bits of stone you pass!) to see if there is anything in your diet that can be changed.
