Wedding Do.

Me and my OH have been invtited to the evening do of a neighbours sons wedding. Is it the done thing to give a gift at evening receptions or just give a card which we were going to do do anyway. TIA.

You didn't 'go to the wedding cermony, but just the reception, then a gift is NOT necesarry.

Thanks all, There's only one other set of neighbours going in the evening and they're just giving a card but I'll feel as if Im tight if I dont give a gift. My OH said the usual " I'll leave that up to you to decide" Typical~ I'll either get the voucher or HE can put the dosh in the card. Thanks again folks.

China - I can only imagine that it would be the sort of thing my brother would say upon finding that there was no buffet "Quick - give us the voucher back".

The one great thing about us Scots - we can laugh at ourselves.
