MM Links Solutions February 2009 [Week 2]

The second week in the reign of Queen Dustybun landed on St Valentine's Day and although that was the adopted theme, the chosen links were hardly romantic!
I can now reveal her chosen links:

STATE Secret
Love GAME
YELLOW Card
Heart BROKEN (or equivalent)

As for the final link, I was prepared to accept "Broken Heart", "Heart Break", etc as being equivalent!
There should be bonus points for Ont-ices for their most romantic setting for the week-end (Jamaica!).

The game got off to a lively start with a string of Broken Hearts including bridgenut, fordward, paulineward & Dinkypuzzled each claiming their TWO POINTS. The more obvious link (based on soccer) was YELLOW CARD and these points were claimed by lysander & centrino. By 09.04, I had had 12 entries and had given away as many points.

Although the clock was starting to deny hits scoring double points, Grenmus, seekeerz & patchett all picked up single points. With two hits still to find, it was time for the �Big Hitters� to take the stage! The first to appear was kettledrum who turned up at 09.52 planning a LOVE GAME (for TWO POINTS).

Shortly after, sarumite arrived with HEART BREAKER (by Dionne Warwick?) and the last link of STATE SECRET to score THREE POINTS and claims the title HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK!
*** Let trumpets sound and cannon roar ***
*** Let the people cheer and shout �Encore� ***

Thereafter, the scoring slowed down to a trickle ~ with devadiva, ladyalex & deecee131 each scoring One Point.

League Table after this second week is:

FOUR POINTS: kettledrum, lysander & paulineward
THREE POINTS: sarumite
TWO POINTS: bridgenut, centrino. Dinkypuzzled, fordward, patchett, slaney & teacher1
Eight others are on ONE POINT.

I wonder what Queen Dusty has in store for us next week?
