washing machines

My skin is very sensitive to washing powders, I never use biological ones but still get terrible itching. I feel that my washer is not extracting all the soap on the rinse cycle as when the clothes are dry the smell of soap is still evident. I am considering buying a new washing machine and my question is, can anyone recommend one which does a very good rinse please.

But for everyday washing she uses these some laundry balls. They work a treat, and don't have any detergent in them.
I can only vouch for this brand though..Shop around on the net for the best price.
Honest they do work... we've been using them for over a year now. They paid for themselves in the first month.

My husband has fairly severe allergies - we use Surcare washing powder or the washing balls mentioned above - also wash everything on a high temperature. It is unlikely to be the washing machine. What you could try as well is doing a 2nd rinse and spin after the washing is finished it's cycle. Do you use fabric softener?
