Mud.
3 Answers
A part of my garden bed is pure mud. I have dug it, churned it, added compost but still it's just mud. It floods like crazy & takes forever to drain. The rest of the same garden bed is fine. I've mixed it all up, but no joy. Very annoying.
Any ideas what I can do to make it normal?

So I put patio slabs over the lot and directed the rainfall to drainage - problem solved.
Could you not patio that part of your garden which is causing the problem and make a feature of it? Perhaps a water feature or similar?

I had similar problem, what we did was to dig down about 3ft deep, fill hole with gravel to about 9" from top put turfs in upside down, back filled with soil and reseeded it it was a hell of an improvement. but obviously this would be a big job if area concerned was huge. good luck, hope you can sort something, Ray
