During the war 1939-45, meat was rationed and pies were packe with potatos to make up the bulk.
At that time, there was a popular song called "I don't see me in your eyes anymore"...a love song. But people changed the words to...."I don't see meat in your pies any more"

lol sqad but unfortunately my local butcher makes his own pies and they are orgasmic - I won't dwell on this as being on a diet am having delicious Weightwatchers Chicken & Pasta Bake - yum
