The endorsement will stay on your license for 11 years however it does become 'spent' after five years under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Some insurance companies may ask  'Have you or anyone who is to drive the vehicle been convicted of any offence within the last five years or had his licence endorsed within the last 11 years?'  but i think this is rare.

So in short you do not have to declare it now apart from any insurance questions.

Shouldn`t have done it in the first place.  My best mate lost his daughter to a drink driver, so if you where never allowed back on the roads again i wouldnt lose any sleep.
