the 'birth certificate' Dorcus found for her father, it proved that he would have been 70, Larkrise is set in the late 1800s, Civil Registration started in July 1837, her father would only have had a small baptism certificate, not a full copy birth certificate like the one Dorcus opened surely? Okay just me being picky, it's still excellent.

I thought that too Dot. Still, never mind. It's a lovely programme.
Don't suppose it changes anything, but when they inaugurated the clock last week the inscription on the tower said 1895.
It's got Julia Swahala in it ;)
