* Heather O'Rourke, who played the little girl Carol-Anne, and Dominique Dunne, who played the teenage daughter, are buried in the same cemetery: Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles. Dunne was strangled into brain-death by her boyfriend in 1982, the year of the film's release. Six years later, O'Rourke died of intestinal stenosis.*
Get ready for the trivia faxts, lol..........
yeah, Heather O'Rourke (the young blonde girl) died of cardiac-pulmonary arrest and septic shock, the result of an undetected intestinal blockage thought to be present since birth and was wrongfully diagnosed as Flu!!!!! The Rest of poltergeist 3 had to be filmed with stand-ins.
Dominique Dunne, was 22 when she was killed by her boyfriend. Apparantly she was rehearsing her lines and he picked a fight, strangled her and she died 5 days later. Ironically to drown out the sound he turned up the Poltergiest soundtrack!
The guy who played the indian shaman - Actor Will Sampson, was an actual shaman, and he performed an exorcism on the set of POLTERGEIST II to rid it of "alien spirits." A year after POLTERGEIST II was released, Sampson died of complications from a heart-lung transplant.
A few months after filming wrapped on POLTERGEIST II, actor Julian Beck died after a long battle with stomach cancer.
Apparantly the skeletons used in POLTERGEIST II: THE OTHER SIDE turned out to be actual human skeletons! And there are meant to be a few other spooky happenening on sets and that happened to actors.
