I have several white spots on my skin which seem to be slowly spreading down my upper arm, apparently this is caused by a fungi on the skin and is caused from dandruff, I have been using anti dandruff shampoo on my body, but how do i get rid of these spots?

Sounds a bit like something I used to get. It was really noticable after getting a tan and wearing a wetsuit made it worse.

I managed to get rid of it by applying a stronger anti-dandruff shampoo called Selsun (available from the chemists). I rubbed it on the affected skin every day for about two weeks (and left it on).

forgot to mention.

The treatment didn't get rid of the spots per se but prevented them from spreading and eventually they merged with the colour of the rest of my skin.

If you see your pharmacist they can probably recommend an antifungal cream for the spots.

If any of the spots become infected or red,  I would see your GP, as a member of my family had this and they were prescribed an anti fungal/antibiotic cream which cleared the spots up.

Could be vertiligo
This not necessariy mean that these white spots are due to the fungi or dandruf. Ther are many skin conditions that causes white spots on skin among them vitiligo is most commenst skin condition, I recomend you vitist http://www.antivitiligo.com/vitiligo/things-li ke-vitiligo.html to know about all such skin conditions that causes white spots on skin. Read about there causes and symptoms see the images of these diseases. And look which condition's outcome is resembled with your spots.
