Recently I am noticing some chefs baking a cake starting with using a food mixer. Anybody give me a recipe for that. That would be so much easier - thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i am at work at the moment and dont have my recipes with me! my husbands favourite that i make is a lemon loaf with lemon syrup drizzled on the top which soaks in and makes a wonderfully moist cake, but i dont usually make a sponge sandwich cake (although when i have done the blending it all together works fine) my 'grown up' children still like a chocolate traybake which has melted choc spread over the top and choc chip muffins, choc brownies etc. let me know which recipes you would like and i will post them when i get home.
6oz self raising flour
6oz castor sugar
6oz soften butter
3 eggs
cream butter and sugar till creamy add 1 egg at a time sift the flour and add gradually put into 2 sandwich tins greased and lined bake gas 4 for 25-30 mins leave to cool spread jam in middle and or butter cream
butter cream
2oz butter soften
4oz icing sugar
2 drops vanilla esscense
2 tbsp milk
blend altogether till creamy and spread in cake
