What is your earliest memory?

I remember playing in the sand, aged 2 and a half, the heat of the sun, my mum and dad laughing as I dropped my ice cream cone and scooped it back up with my hands as it melted. Happy days in Cornwall.

Playing on the stone steps with my Godmother's mother , we lived up Cragg Vale above Mytholmroyd and my godmother had the farm cottage lower down the hill. i was about 3 i think.

I remember my grandad very well. He used to have a chair in his kitchen and liked a glass of orange barley drink which he let me sip. I was nearly 3 when he died so the memory must be a very early one

When I was about 5, getting up on the bandstand at Bishop's Park and singing FAME!

When I was 2 or 3 I was running to my neighbours with my mum for shelter from firing by fighter jets. And I also remember I had a bag of monkey nuts with me.

Mine is when I was about 2 1/2, maybe 3, and I am sitting in the front garden, eating mud!!....nice eh? lol

Hot summer of 76....playing outside the front door....on the kerb...full of dust.

Being taken to the laxey wheel for the first time and finding a my first fairground down the road.

oh yes 76 was a scorcher, i went to Norfolk on holiday and got sunburnt in Cromer.
And i was 21 that year too.

I think I was about 4 years old when I had a lovely doll with a porcelain head, for Christmas. Very excited I remember running round to show the lady next door. Then I fell in her driveway and the back of the doll's head was smashed to bits. Fortunately the face was OK, and mum stuffed the head with cotton wool, and put it's bonnet back on. What a Christmas Day, I think my screams could have been heard for miles.
